BURL
A tree growth in which the grain has grown in a deformed way. Commonly found in the form of a rounded outgrowth on a tree of a branch. Filled with small knots. A burl results from a tree undergoing some form of stress. It may be caused by environmental issues or most commonly, by humans.

When something fills my mind with sensation, I easily become obsessed. I am a compulsive and impulsive person; fretting, fretting, fretting and worrying all the time. Sometimes, there is no initial idea for my creative escapades; I draw for the sakes of drawing. It is a necessary part of my day, like a ritualistic meditation, because I find it helps my ADD. A pen or pencil is like a magic wand to me as from its tip, as I draw, conjured worlds emerge that don’t exist moments before. When I am in a period where I am not making art, I feel lazy, weak, worthless and bored.
